With the low-maintenance design of the SK-S 36.20 W, SAF-HOLLAND supports the efforts of transporters to reduce the maintenance costs for their trucks and protect the environment.
This fifth wheel was designed specially for long-distance transport. It has plastic sliding plates on its contact area. In combination with the permanently maintenance-free rubber bearings and the plastic wear ring, there is only one lubrication point - on the lock - that requires a small amount of grease. The central lubrication unit connection is not required.
All wearing parts can be replaced easily and quickly. Low-maintenance fifth wheels thus save time and money and spare resources.

Mounting plates and kits
Mounting plates are for connecting fifth wheels to the vehicle. They must be firmly connected to the frame construction of the tractor.

Slider SK-V 20
Sliders allow optimal utilisation of permissible axle loads and vehicle lengths.
They enable the coupling point of tractors to be changed quickly and easily. The fifth wheel can be secured in 14 different longitudinal positions, allowing the coupling of semi-trailers with different kingpin positions.
The slotted base rails with teeth and slotted rails are mounted directly to the supporting frame of the tractor. The carriage with the locking mechanism is designed for mounting fifth wheels with an overall height of 150-250 mm.

Convenient pneumatic operation by remote control
The remote control model of the SK-V 20 slider enables the optional coupling point to be adjusted quickly and conveniently. The adjusting mechanism of the slider carriage can be unlocked and moved via a pneumatic cylinder at the touch of a button in the driver`s cab.
